Here are the updates about our railway transits.

Lrt1 rolling stock
-1st,2nd,3rd generation light rail trains in service.
-4th generation trains from Japan delivered to be used for the underconstruction lrt1 south extension and for the planned south lrt6 extension

Lrt2 (MRT2) rolling stock
-Heavy rail 3rd generation trains in service

Mrt3(lrt3) rolling stock
-1st,2nd,3rd generation light rail trains in service.
-4th generation dalian light rail trains in trial test runs

Mrt7 rolling stock
-4th generation heavy rail trains in south korea under test trial runs will be delivered in 2022

Mrt9 (Metro Manila subway line rolling stock)
-4th generation heavy rail trains underconstruction in japan to be delivered 2022.

PNR manila commuter line:
-First batch of indonesian made trains has been delivered and in service.
-2nd batch of indonesian made trains delivered feb 2020

-Philippine made hybrid trains in trial test runs.
-Old 1st generations trains 1960's in service

PNR North line rolling stock  (NSCR)
-To be delivered 2023
- E233 Series EMU Trains from Japan.
- Electrified system

PNR South Long haul rolling stock
- To be delivered 2021
-Standard Guage Rail track
-CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive long haul Trains from China.

Mrt3 line is actually "lrt3" using light rail vehicles.
Lrt2 line is the real "mrt2" and is the first real "heavy rail" line in the country.

PNR NORTH (NSCR)
Department of Transportation (DOTr), Philippine National Railways (PNR), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), along with Sumitomo Corporation, J-TREC, and NSTren Consortium, officialy signed the Package 3 Contract (Rolling Stock Contract) for the PNR NORTH. The scale model of the expected new train for the line has been also revealed during the signing of contract. The train was derived from the E233 Series EMU of Japan's JR East and will be produced by J-TREC, an East Japan Railway Company (JR East) parent company.

PNR SOUTH LONG HAUL (NSCR)
The Philippines has formally signed a contract with a Chinese company to supply trains for the state railway operator's long haul route to the Bicol region.
The trains, which are set to be delivered in June 2021, will be deployed for long haul service from Calamba in Laguna to Naga City in Camarines Sur and eventually to Legazpi City in Albay.
